Richard approached CP+R as because wanted a detailed insight into how he could manage his health to optimise professional performance as a successful businessman, and to understand to how to reduce his risk of age-related diseases.
Our ACTION plan
Richard had no significant medical history when he came to us, although he was suffering the occasional musculoskeletal aches and pains. Considering this, our plan was focused on achieving health excellence with him and reducing any pains that could develop into something more serious.
Richard’s plan was designed to create a periodised, advanced resistance training schedule focused on developing lean mass and maximising strength across the full joint range. In addition, Richard had a long term periodised cardiovascular exercise plan to improve aerobic endurance, heart rate control and running economy. This involved both steady state training and interval training.
RICHARD’s results
By focussing on developing lean muscle mass, reducing fat mass and improving cardiorespiratory fitness, Richard gained more energy as his body worked with increasing efficiency. He was able to invest this extra energy to invest into his business and his personal life.
Richard also experienced reduced pain and improved protection against illness and injury, thereby optimising his health for the long term.
