Fraser runs a successful business and in the past has allowed his health to go on the back burner. He was referred to CP+R via a business colleague to help to prioritise his health and allow him to continue to successfully run his business for years to come.
Our action plan
Although Fraser did not have any diagnosed health problems, he was suffering from periodic back pain, was a smoker and had suffered from bouts of stress in recent years. This meant Fraser was feeling unfit and out of breath when climbing stairs and often got migraines associated with intense periods of work.
We devised a plan with Fraser to help to create a sustainable exercise and nutrition routine that would work with his busy career and lifestyle. This meant walking within a work setting, flexibility in supervised exercise training and building aerobic exercise into his week. Resistance training was particularly a key component of the programme as this would help to improve strength endurance, reduce musculoskeletal complaints, and provide a strong foundation for illness prevention. Fraser was also supported with smoking cessation resources both internally and externally to CP+R.
Fraser’s results
With our help, Fraser successfully integrate the new health routine into his lifestyle. He improved his strength with 2.1kg of increased muscle mass after 12 weeks. He also managed to reduce his blood pressure from 134/74 to 128/70 mmHg, an indirect sign of better stress management and a healthier cardiovascular system.
Fraser has become a CP+R evangelist and has since formally introduced better workplace wellbeing to his employees to share the benefits of our sustainable approach to health.
