Jane began working with CP+R as she wanted to manage her health at a more advanced level to help her perform better professionally and personally, and to create a long-term plan to ensure she could minimise the chance of illness as she ages.
Our action plan
Jane sustained a back injury just prior to joining us, therefore, the first goal of the programme was a full clinical assessment and treatment pathway with the physiotherapy team to supported Jane’s work with her Cardiac Coach. Her back rehabilitation focussed on centralising and reducing pain before increasing robustness in her lower back to ensure no further episodes occurred.
Once the back injury was settled Jane was able to start developing her strength and fitness. This was done through a combination of higher intensity resistance sessions and interval running sessions. The goal for the exercise prescription and complimentary nutrition plan was to maximise Jane’s already good health and improve her ability to cope with a busy work and family life.
Jane’s results
Jane completely overcame her back injury within a number of weeks of joining CP+R and has since been able to pursue health excellence. Jane’s physiological health was already good, but she now has a fitness level comparable to the top 20% individuals for her age and gender. This is in addition to considerable strength increase and maintaining an optimal body composition.
